More fun with type basics! Here's another four terms to beef up your typographic vocabulary.

Shoulder:
a curved stroke of a character that faces downward

Diacritic (accent):
a mark added to a character to assist in communicating specific pronunciation

Vertex:
the point where two strokes meet (on the exterior of a character)

Tittle:
a distinguishing mark added to a letter
